Aware24

The aware24 application provides emergency medical assistance to its users. Newlogic was contracted to design a solution that would allow the creation of a direct link between the A24 assistance team and citizens through the tap on an emergency button. 

Problem

A significant challenge is that individuals with insurance policies often face delays in accessing urgent medical help, especially when in a foreign country. These delays, averaging several hours, can cause considerable anxiety and uncertainty during emergencies. Aware24 Assistance, while committed to aiding users, grapples with the issue of safeguarding emergency contact information to prevent misuse or unwarranted calls.

Discovery

We started by getting a real understanding of business goals, target audience and project requirements through meetings and discussions with the Aware24 team.  

Knowing your user

In collaboration with the client, through remote, online workshops, we identified three types of users for the product. User Personas were then created to better understand the user’s behaviour, motivations and pain points.

Analysis and insights

We then analysed the data collected, and translated our findings into relevant insights, including user journeys, scenarios addressed, scenario priority rankings and more. Insights are then reviewed and validated with the client. Doing so helped inform the design and decision making processes.

Human centred design

With the insights gained and defined, the design team was able to propose solutions that could address user requirements and preferences, also taking into account societal and environmental aspects such as limited network coverage. 

Testing

Gathered user-informed feedback from the client, to validate and iterate on design decisions. This iterative process ensured a continuous improvement of the app prototype and allowed for quick ideations of effective solutions
